Children and Young People
- Individual psychotherapy for teenagers aged 13+.
- Commissioned therapeutic support for KS2 upwards, for schools, local authorities and other organisations.
- Therapeutic Forest School for targeted individuals and small groups.
My work as a psychotherapist is informed by 18 years of experience in education and SEND, five years leading Forest School, and therapeutic experience with sixth-form students, alternative provision and SEND young people. I bring these experiences together to create flexible, creative approaches that help young people engage, build confidence and develop emotional wellbeing.
Individual Psychotherapy
Combine the benefits of movement, fresh air, and nature with professional support.
Walking alongside one another can help ease conversation and create a relaxed, open setting for therapy.
A different kind of
therapeutic space for teenagers
Individual integrative psychotherapy for teenagers aged 13+, incorporating nature, creative approaches and Walk & Talk Therapy where appropriate.
I support children and young people as they navigate life and a range of challenges, including exam stress, anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, relationships and family dynamics.
Weather Plan
Sessions are outdoors whenever possible. In cases of very heavy rain, strong winds, or extreme cold, we’ll move online for that week’s session.
Commissioned work
I provide freelance psychotherapy and therapeutic support for:
- Schools
- Local authorities
- SEND teams
- Alternative provision settings
- Virtual schools
- Charities and other organisations
I offer flexible blocks of support to fit your needs and budget, from short-term half-term or termly interventions to longer-term commissioned provision. This might include individual psychotherapy seated or outdoors, targeted therapeutic support, emotional literacy group work through creative and nature-based approaches, delivered in school or at a suitable local site.
Therapeutic
Forest School Groups
Have a target group or specific young people who need some extra attention, a different approach or the opportunity to experience success outside the classroom?
I offer Forest School and bushcraft sessions for individuals or groups of up to eight students, either at a small woodland setting in Whittington or at your own site by arrangement.
Six-week programmes are available and can include team building, fire lighting, open-fire cooking, den building and tool work.
Sessions are designed to support self-esteem, self-awareness, social skills, emotional literacy and emotional regulation.
Opportunity for Success
“Out of the classroom X shone. The confidence he gained from learning practical skills, cooking on a fire and working in teams helped him so much.”
— Tamworth PRU staff member
Build connection
“She wouldn’t talk to anyone, but with a task to complete and the freedom to wander, she really opened up.”
— Home Education group member
Have fun
"Learning doesn't have to be boring or only happen in the classroom. Forest school is a messy, curious way to gain knowledge, problem solve, socialise and develop new skills."
